Why is Crucial Understanding The Meta Ad Library.
The Meta Ad Library
Description : The Meta Ad Library is a powerful tool that allows you to search for ads
running across Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Audience
Network). It provides transparency into advertising, allowing you to see what
ads are being shown, who is paying for them (especially for ads about social
issues, elections, or politics), and some basic information about their reach.
Key Features:
Ø Searchable Database: Find
ads currently active on Meta platforms
Ø Political Ad Transparency:
For ads about issues, elections, or politics, the library also stores inactive
ads for seven years. This includes information like who funded the ad, the
estimated spending range, and demographic reach.
Ø Ad Details: View individual
ad information like start date, platforms used, and the ability to report the
ad.
Ø Page Information: See
details about the Facebook Pages running ads, such as creation date, name
changes, and admin locations.
Ø Filtering Options: Refine
your searches by country, impressions, platform, keywords, and (for political
ads) disclaimer information.
Ø Ad Library Report: Access
reports showing top advertisers, spending amounts, and trends in political
advertising.
Ø Spending Tracker &
Embeddable Widgets: Track political ad spending by various affiliations and
campaigns. You can also create widgets to embed in your website or article.
Ø Ad Library API: Efficiently
analyze ads about social issues, elections, or politics in the Ad Library.
